Dawn- A Poem from Shall Fear No Evil

I breathe in a new kind of dawn
rising above the clouds
and feeling
less wind than I
ever have before
the sun is brighter
I am charged with the energy found
in something not my own
for my strength does not come from
myself
no longer turning
to and fro
like a beetle waiting
for the rays of sun to lead him
home
I am soaring
Grounded like the
tree planted by streams of water
there I have found
cold water
and a Spirit
that quenches my thirst
I breathe in a new kind of dawn
rising above the clouds
and living
with more life
than I ever have before
