“Seek and you shall find ask and the door shall be opened to you.” My maker whispered to me in the crying hours of the ancient noontime sun I blinked and wiped away the caking mud from the corners of my mouth ”I’m thirsty” was all I could muster manage with the part of the spirit that was trapped within Water poured from your fingertips wetted my lips and mouth You say again and again “I am the living water Drink and you will never thirst again.” This poem is from my chapboo
