Should the closer I rise to the sun

Melt away the feathers from my

Kite?

I wanted to soar 

Like Icarus across

The brazen blue sky

Beyond the shores of time

Ready to live and

To die

Should the closer I rise to the moon

Cool the inner fire of my

Desires?

I wanted to run

Faster than the tiger

Across the ancient

Plains, to find that small

Part of me, once lost

Beyond the shores of time

Ready to live and

To die

Should the farther I dive into the sea

Wash away all the 

Madness that lives inside

Of me?

I wanted to float

Along the shores of the

Fjords with little or not

Care to distance or space

Beyond the shores of time 

Ready to live and

To die
